Ankle Sprain

An ankle sprain usually is caused by the tearing or stretching of the ligaments of the ankle. The most common ankle sprain occurs on the lateral or outside part of the ankle. This is an extremely common injury which affects many people during a wide variety of activities.
When someone complains that they twisted their ankle, this type of Ankle Sprain usually occurs due to an inversion injury, which means the foot rolls underneath the ankle or leg. It commonly occurs during sports. Patients will complain of pain on the outside of their ankle and various degrees of swelling and bleeding under the skin (i.e. bruising). Technically, this bruising is referred to as ecchymosis. Depending on the severity of the sprain, a person may or may not be able to put weight on the foot.  Besides the usual treatments of icing your ankle for a sprain. In order to get you up and moving around easier a compression band or ankle wrap is usually recommended. The Ankle Compression Band from Boundr allows you to provide as much tension as you like based on its adjustable design. The added support you will get from wearing such a band will help your Ankle Sprain heal faster as its getting the support it needs while the healing process takes place.

Since it is easier to injure your ankle again it is also recommended that you wear a brace or continue to wear the Ankle Compression Band so that your ankle continues to receive the support needed to help it from re-injuring itself again.

Boundr Bands are a proprietary compression innovation that not only provides maximum support during recovery from injury but is also a non-slip, comfortable and virtually undetectable wrap that is worn under your clothes so you can maintain your active lifestyle—worry—free
